Local Attractions in Devon Cliffs
If you are staying at Devon Cliffs Holiday Park then you’ll find plenty to keep the entire family entertained, but if you want to spend some time getting to see more of the beautiful Devon area, then you’ll find quite a lot of special interest activities. What you’ll find is that you don’t even have to drive very far to find some of these places, within a 20 miles of Devon Cliffs there’s a large diversity of things to do (and that’s not including visiting the local towns!) so you’re sure to find something to keep everyone happy.
If you love boats, then one thing you should do is a river cruise. There are a number you can choose from whether it’s a simple cruise on the River Exe, or a combination boat/train or boat/bus cruise that combines too different modes of transport, you’re sure to have a good time messing about on the river. The Jurassic Coast tour lasts between 2-3 hours and takes you along one of the oldest coastlines in the UK and not only will you learn something about the history of the area, but you may also be lucky enough to spot a dolphin or two!
For a less exhilarating but certainly not less beautiful day out, Bicton Park is within a 5 mile distance of Devon Cliffs and is a must see local attraction for any horticultural enthusiasts. It’s not just pretty flowers on display however, with a miniature golf course, woodland railway and playground area, there’s something for the whole family to enjoy.
A little further afield train enthusiasts will love the Seaton Tramway, or even the Pecorama where the light railway gives great views of nearby Lyme Bay. For those who love thrills and spills there’s quad bike riding at Quadworld (within 15-20 miles of Devon Cliffs), or Diggerland (about 25 miles out of Devon Cliffs) for those with little ones who would love to get their hands on a child-sized digger! With local attractions to Devon Cliffs also offering the historic towns of Exmouth, Sidmouth and Exeter to explore, there’s more than enough to keep everyone busy during a holiday to Devon Cliffs!
